In doing my research the name Tom Venuto kept coming up as a knowledgeable person in the weight loss industry. He had a book called Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle and with a title like that it warranted a closer look.

There are people who advertise themselves as weight or fat loss coaches but are fat themselves, or they are good examples but lack the ability or the knowledge to teach the 4 learning types of people how to lose weight.

When I checked him out, I found that he was a noted bodybuilding expert and weight reduction coach. Regardless of his own education and experience in fitness training, the camera doesn’t lie when it comes to this area of expertise.

I noticed that Tom Venuto practiced what he preached.

This thing has lots of people talking about it and some cases of what look to be stellar results. As the summer break comes to an end and children start heading back to school, many parents think that they no longer have to worry about finding things to keep their little ones entertained. It’s not possible for them to spend a whole day learning and then want even more stimulation when they get home, is it? This is a misconception that is made each year, but the memories of last year soon come flooding back as the children display seemingly heroic levels of energy long into the evening. For those of you at a complete loss for what to occupy your kids with, here are some top ideas:

Toys. Kids love toys, that much is known. That said, most parents are not ‘in the loop’ when it comes to what is cool and what is not these days. You can of course ask them what they would like, but if you are buying them something for a special occasion you don’t want to ruin the surprise. Choose something that they will get a lot of use out of and can play with for a long time. A RC helicopter is a great choice for boys and they come pretty cheap these days. Dolls and similar toys are always a hit with girls and there is such a variety to choose from there is no possibility of them getting bored.


Shows
. You could take your children to see a show, but this can often cost quite a lot of money. Your kids will probably get a whole lot more enjoyment in fact if you get them to put on a show for you at home. They will spend time planning and practicing it and it will help develop their self confidence performing it in front of adults. Set up some wireless speakers and microphones to make the show even more real.

If Halloween falls on a school night this year, young children who need an early night will still feel as though they celebrated if you set up a few special treats, some arts and crafts and perhaps a fun movie before bedtime.

Scour the web elsewhere too for a variety of activities including paper plate pumpkins and pipe cleaner spiders. Older children may enjoy making slime with two cups of water, half a cup of cornstarch and a few drops of red or green food colouring.

Murder mystery dinner parties are great fun and if you pick one with a Chinese, Indian or Italian theme you don’t even have to cook – you can just order a home delivery from your local Chinese or Indian take-away or from your favourite pizza place. It was once the case that the term extreme sports related only to a select few activities. Among those worthy of the accolade included sports such as BMX, base jumping, surfing, white water rafting and a few more. Some people think this is a bad thing and that the term ‘Extreme Sports’ should only be reserved for those sports either around from the beginning or that contain an element of danger so great that only those will a bit of screw loose are willing to give them a go. What they don’t realise however is that extreme sport is not just about the sport, it’s a way of life. It’s about attempting something your have never done before. Maybe getting some new scars to show off, or scaring the living daylights out of your mother sometimes, but feeling alive every minute. It’s about picking up some second hand kayaks on a whim and taking them out on the river for a quick blast, and feeling alive when you make it to the still-water in once piece. Extreme sports doesn’t always have to mean laying your life on the line each and every day, it can instead be about giving yourself a bit of an adrenaline rush or bucking convention every now and again, which means that the term ‘extreme sports’ is really immortal.
